INTRODUCTION
In marketing, promotion refers to any type
of Marketing communication used to inform or
persuade target audience of the relative merits of a
product, service, brand or issue. The aim of promotion
is to increase awareness, create interest, generate sales
or create brand loyalty. It is one of the basic elements
of the market mix, which includes the four Ps, i.e.,
product, price, place, and promotion.
SHIKSHIT BHARAT
ABOUT THE COMPANY
Shikshit bharat is a dream envisaged by late Shri. Mahatma
Gandhi. Government has taken many initiatives including
“Right to Education” for the brighter future.
The current demand of corporate sector is bigger than that of
mere academic qualification due to global economic
scenarios in which we operate.
PMS is a reputed name in the corporate sector and has taken
an initiative to identify and reward the talent in the country
through “Graduation reward program” offered by Shikshit
Bharat. This program will reach the ground level through the
existing schools who are really concerned for education of
students.
ABOUT THE INDUSTRY
The Educational Services Industry is composed of
establishments that provide instruction and training on a wide
variety of subjects.
These institutions, including schools, colleges, and universities
and training centres, are either privately or publicly owned.
Private institutions may be further classified as "for-profit" or
"not-for-profit". We report on publicly traded, for-profit
schools that have a focus on post-secondary education.
According to the most recent data provided by the U.S.
Department of Education, post-secondary education is being
provided to about 18.2 million students. Of that population,
some 1.4 million are receiving their education through for-
profit schools.
About the topic
There have been different ways to promote a product in person or with
different media.
Traditional media
Examples of traditional media include print media such as newspapers
and magazines, electronic media such as radio and television, and outdoor
media such as banner or billboard advertisements. Each of these platforms
provide ways for brands to reach consumers with advertisements.
Digital media
Digital media, which includes Internet, social networking and social
media sites, is a modern way for brands to interact with consumers as it
releases news, information and advertising from the technological limits
of print and broadcast infrastructures. Digital media is currently the most
effective way for brands to reach their consumers on a daily basis
Promotional medium used
Direct selling
Direct selling refers to selling products directly to the
consumer in a non-retail environment. Instead, sales occur
at home, work, online, or other non-store locations
The type of direct selling used in my internship was face to
face selling
Face to Face Selling is another term used for personal
selling. It is a process in which salesperson interacts with
customer directly in order to sell the product. Face to Face
selling is marketing and selling product to customer
using his skills and marketing techniques.

financial constraints.
Key requirements of Future
Communication, collaboration and creativity are the skills
required in the knowledge-based industries of the future.
Globalization requires everyone to think differently. The
world is smaller place than it was 50 years ago. Our
children will need to be “globally competent” to
understand other cultures and be comfortable with cultural
complexities.
ROLE OF PROMOTION
Better understanding of the initiative.
Increase in the awareness of such programs.
Helped in making the schools understand the
importance of the program and its benefits.
Direct communication is proved to be more affective
than digital communication.
To provide motivation to schools in the form of
additional benefits to them.
OBJECTIVES
To filter the talent of the country at one place.
To support the students financially for their after
school education.
To expand the pool of talent.
To provide the students with a chance to leverage their
knowledge at national level platform.
Conclusion
Many schools did realize the importance of the
initiative by indulging.
Promotional strategies did help attract the schools.
There is a lot more awareness needed to be spread
about such schemes.
Suggestions
The examination fees should be a little more
reasonable.
The validity of the registration fees paid by the schools
should be extended from just one year.
Different pricing policies should be adopted from
schools in rural areas.
The focus should more be on spreading the initiative
than to make gains out of it , it being in the light of an
activity commonly beneficial to society.
