HOUSEKEEPING & FRONT

HOW FO & HK ARE INTER-RELATED:
1) When a guest checks out the HK Department should be informed so
that they can make the room ready.
2) House Keeping sends occupancy report to the front desk in return.
3) Housekeeping informs Front Office for the blocking of a room.
4) Special report conveyed by Front Office to Housekeeping through VIP
amenities voucher and also by telephone.
5) In case of extra bed, Front Office informs housekeeping for extra
amenities.
6) Guests inform front office for mechanical problem and Front Office in
turn informs Housekeeping.
7) Front office will send expected arrival report to the Housekeeping
Department.
8) In case of room shifting , guest inform Front Office and the Front Office
informs House Keeping.
9) In case of lost and found House Keeping co-ordinates with Front Office.
HOW FO & HK ARE INTER-RELATED:
10.. If a guest does not find his belonging, he/she informs Front Office and
Front Office will inform House Keeping
11. If the director of a Pepsi company comes to the hotel, then it is better to
remove other brand of soft drink bottle, this communication has to reach
from Front office to Housekeeping.
12. Decoration of room, special arrangements etc in these cases the Front
Office informs House Keeping.
13. In case of sleep out, House Keeping should inform Front Office.
14. In case of excess member found during late night service house keeping
informs front Office immediately.
15. Similarly Front office should inform Housekeeping regarding Scanty
baggage of a guest.
16. In case of thorough cleaning needed in the lobby area , when the lobby
will be having lees traffic Front Office informs House Keeping.
17. Some times the requests of second service guest makes to Front Office
,and immediately Front Office places the same to House Keeping.
N.B. – There may be many more which can be experienced during direct
operation or on the job situation.
