STATE BRANCHES OF POWER
 The power belongs to the PEOPLE
 The people shall exercise their power through free
elections, referenda, as well as through state and
local self-government bodies and officials provided
for by the Constitution. 
Usurpation of power by any organization or
individual shall be a crime.
 (Constitution of RA, Art. 2)

 State power shall be exercised in
conformity with the Constitution and the
laws, based on the separation and
balance of the legislative, executive and
judicial powers.

PARLIAMENT GOVERNMENT COURTS OF LAW
Legislative branch
 The Legislative branch (Parliament, National
Assembly) shall be the representative body of the
people. 
 The National Assembly shall implement the
legislative power by adopting laws, code’s,
constitutional laws and including the appointment
of various high state officials. 
 The National Assembly shall exercise supervision
over the executive power, shall adopt the State
Budget and perform other functions…
EXECUTIVE BRANCH
 The Government shall be the supreme body of the
executive power. 
 The Government shall, based on its programme,
develops and implements the domestic and foreign
policies of the State. 
 The Government shall exercise general management
of the bodies of the state administration system. 
 The matters pertaining to the executive power and not
reserved to state administration bodies or other local
self-government bodies shall fall under the
competence of the Government.
JUDICIAL BRANCH
 Justice is administered only by the Judicial branch. 
 The judicial branch consists of Courts.
 The Republic of Armenia has three level justice
system
 First Instance General Jurisdiction Courts
 Specialized courts as in The Administrative Court
 Appellate Instance for general jurisdiction courts
and the Administrative Court
 The Court of Cassation
