Introduction
Tesla, Inc. is an American electric vehicle and clean energy company based in Palo Alto,
California. Founded as Tesla Motors, Tesla was incorporated on July 1, 2003. They started
making electric cars in 2008 with a goal to make electric cars appeal to masses. Tesla's
current products include electric cars, battery energy storage from home to grid scale,
solar panels and solar roof tiles, as well as other related products and services. Tesla has
released few different model of their cars such as Tesla roadster, Tesla model s , Tesla
model X, Tesla Model Y and Tesla model 3.
We will solely focus on their electric cars which has self driving ability which solely relies
on ai and machine learning. This is also referred to tesla’s autopilot. This feature alone
affects the sales of tesla cars as it raises concerns about the reliability. As autopilot
feature is one of the key feature of their cars and appeal to the end customers as no
other cars in the market has the same level of autonomous driving capability as Teslas
 Problems with tesla’s self driving feature

always accurate.
• 2. it has a tendency to crash the vehicle
compromising the driver’s and passenger’s
safety
• 3. the autonomy algorithm is not accurate
most of the time
• 4. The neural network miscalculate and
causes the car to crash
Possible Solutions

1. They need to Apply cutting-edge research to train deep

neural networks on problems ranging from perception to
control.
2. They need to incorporate ai in a way that learns every
particular driver’s driving style and routes to make the journey
even safer
3. Tesla needs to invest more in developing an ai that can
process more calculations per second to predict traffics in roads
faster and take actions.
