• I WOULD WANT TO FIND OUT A SPECIFIC REASON OF WHY HE WANTS TO TALK TO MAN
• WORST CASE HE ENDS UP TALKING TO THE MANAGER

• NOW IF THIS WERE SOMETHING THAT OCCURRED MORE THAN ONCE AFTER SPEAKING TO THE
STAFF MEMBER, I WOULD GET THE MANAGER INVOLVED AS IT IS CLEARLY SOMETHING BIGGER
THAT IS GOING ON AND THE MANAGER COULD DEAL WITH IT AS THEY SEE FIT.

YOU HAVE A MANAGER THAT YOU DON’T REPORT TO, COME TO YOU
TO DEMAND YOU DROP EVERYTHING YOU ARE DOING TO ATTEND
TO A WORK TASK ON THEIR BEHALF, WHAT DO YOU DO?
• FIRST TALK THE MANAGER AND ASK IF THERE WAS TIME FOR MORE TIME
• I WOULD KINDLY ASK THEM IF THEY HAVE SPOKEN TO MY MANAGER. MY MANAGER
SHOULD KNOW THAT SOMEONE IS TAKING ME AWAY FROM THE TASK THEY ASKED ME TO.
IF HE SAID MY MANAGER KNEW WHAT WAS HAPPENING THEN I WOULD BE HAPPY TO GO
HELP.
