FORCEPS-ALLIGATOR
Alligator forceps are surgical instruments used
for grasping small objects or removing items from
small cavities in the body.
FORCEPS-ALLIS TISSUE
Allis Tissue Forceps are finger ring, ratcheted forceps used
for grasping organs and slippery or
dense tissue during
electro surgery.
They are commonly used with
tonsil, vaginal, breast, and thyroid tissue.
FORCEPS-BROWN-ADSON TISSUE
Common uses are for suturing and wound closing.
FORCEPS-KELLY
Kelly Hemostatic Forceps are primarily used for clamping large blood vessels or
manipulating heavy tissue. They may also be used for soft tissue dissection. This
instrument can be used as a clamp, heat sink, or third hand. Handles have two-position
locking device.
FORCEPS-RAT TOOTH THUMB
Thumb forceps are used to grasp tough tissue (fascia, breast).
SCISSORS-BANDAGE
They are commonly used for sizing dressings and removing circumferential bandages.
They may also be used to cut tougher material such as plaster, fabric, and occasionally
umbilical cord.
SCISSORS-LITTAUER
SUTURE REMOVAL
primarily used for suture removal. ... Littauer Stitch Scissors are most commonly
available in the length of 5-1/2 inches, therefore, they typically have larger, less delicate
tips than Spencer Stitch Scissors, and are used for removing larger sutures.
SCISSORS MAYO DISSECTING
used for cutting sutures, they are also referred to as "suture scissors". ... The curved style of
Mayo scissor is used to cut thick tissues such as those found in the uterus, muscles, breast, and
foot. Mayo scissors used for dissection are placed in tissue with the tips closed.
SCISSORS-METZENBAUM
DISSECTING
used for dissecting and cutting tissue. These scissors are not recommended for cutting
sutures, drains, or heavy tissue
COCCIDIA
Coccidia are a subclass of microscopic, spore-forming, single-celled obligate intracellular
parasites belonging to the apicomplexan class Conoidasida. As obligate intracellular
parasites, they must live and reproduce within an animal cell.
EAR MITE
Ear mites are mites that live in the ears of animals and humans. The most commonly seen
species in veterinary medicine is Otodectes cynotis. This species, despite its name, is also
responsible for 90% of ear mite infections in cats.
FLEA TAPEWORM
is a cyclophyllid cestode that infects organisms afflicted with fleas and canine chewing
lice, including dogs, cats, and sometimes human pet-owners, especially children.
FLEA TAPEWORM EGG
An infection caused by consuming tapeworm eggs or larvae.
FLEA TAPEWORM SEGMENT
A tapeworm body consists of multiple parts, or segments, each with its own reproductive
organs. Tapeworm infections are usually diagnosed by finding segments—which appear
as small white worms that may look like grains of rice or seeds—on the rear end of your
dog, in your dog's feces, or where your dog lives and sleeps.
HEARTWORM ADULT
Dirofilariasis imcites, the heartworm or dog heartworm, is a parasitic roundworm that is a
type of filarial worm, a small thread-like worm, that causes dirofilariasis. It is spread from
host to host through the bites of mosquitoes.
HEARTWORM
MICROFILARIA
Dirofilariasis imcites, the heartworm or dog heartworm, is a parasitic roundworm that is a
type of filarial worm, a small thread-like worm, that causes dirofilariasis. It is spread from
host to host through the bites of mosquitoes.
HOOKWORM ADULT
Hookworm is an intestinal parasite of humans. The larvae and adult worms live in the
small intestine can cause intestinal disease. The two main species of hookworm infecting
humans are Ancylostoma duodenale and Necator americanus.
HOOKWORM EGG
Hookworm eggs are deposited in the stools of infected people. If these end up in the
environment, they can hatch into larvae (immature worms), which can then penetrate the
skin. One type can also be spread through contaminated food. Risk factors include
walking barefoot in warm climates, where sanitation is poor. Diagnosis is by examination
of a stool sample with a microscope.
MOSQUITO LARVA
After mosquito eggs hatch in water, they become mosquito larvae. Learn more about these
small pests. All mosquitoes undergo metamorphosis, passing through four distinct stages
during their lives: egg, larva, pupa and adult. ... A raft can contain anywhere from 100 to
400 eggs. Larvae.
ROUNDWORM ADULT
Roundworms are the most common of the parasitic worms found inside a dog. Almost all
dogs become infected with them at some time in their lives, usually as puppies. ... Another
way roundworms are passed is when roundworm larvae are present in the tissues of a
mouse or another small mammal and the puppy eats the animal.
ROUNDWORM EGG
Roundworm infection is the most common type of worm infection in the world. It is rare
in the U.S. Roundworm eggs live in soil that is contaminated by feces. The eggs can get
into the body through the mouth. The infection can then spread from person to person
through infected feces.
