一位不知名的母亲
An unknown mother

历代志上 1 Chronicles 4:9-10
雅比斯比他众弟兄更尊贵，他母亲给他起名叫雅
比斯，意思说，我生他甚是痛苦。雅比斯求告以
色列的神说，甚愿你赐福与我，扩张我的境界，
常与我同在，保佑我不遭患难，不受艰苦。神就
应允他所求的。
Jabez was more honorable than his brothers. His mother had named
him Jabez, saying, “I gave birth to him in pain.” Jabez cried out to the
God of Israel, "Oh, that you would bless me and enlarge my territory!
Let your hand be with me, and keep me from harm so that I will be free
from pain." And God granted his request. 
这位母亲生儿子《雅比斯》时甚是痛苦，但
日后却栽培雅比斯成为有出息、有志气和有
灵性的孩子；可惜至今没有人知晓这位母亲
的名字，也不知她出身何处及一生的事迹。
Jabez's mother suffered greatly when giving birth to him. But
she taught Jabez how to follow God and live an honourable
life. Unfortunately, she remains anonymous until today. No
one knows where she’s from or her life story.
《一》她的心志 Her mind
已经痛（肉身）过，就不愿让
自己再痛一次。…「赐福於
我」
If you have already suffered (physically),
don't suffer (spiritually) again. (“Bless me”)
《二》她的珍惜 Her treasure
难产得来的叫「难得」，既然
难得就要懂得如何活得更出色。

…「扩张我的境界」
What is hard to come by is called "hard to
get". Since childbirth causes so much pain
and is "hard to get", we should learn to
live more remarkably. (“Enlarge my
《三》她的拣选 Her choice
生既不由己，但要活出自己；生
得痛苦，但要活得轻松。
… 「不遭患难，不受艰苦」
We can’t choose our lives, but we can choose
how we live. We can’t avoid sufferings, but
we can learn to live in God’s peace. (“Keep
me from harm so that I will be free from
pain”)
《四》她的认知 Her
acknowledgment
生产虽苦，却母子皆安；生活虽难
，却抓住神的信实。…「常与我同
在」
Despite the difficult labour, both mother and
child were at peace. Despite life’s difficulties,
they held onto God’s faithfulness. (“Your hand be
《五》她的教导 Her teachings
出生弱小，却要活得尊贵；住在贫
穷，却能活出骨气。
… 「他比众弟兄更尊贵」
Despite the humble background, he lived
honourably. Despite the poverty, he lived
righteously. (“More honorable than his
brothers”)
结论 Conclusion
A 认识痛苦，才知珍惜恩典
B 认识患难，才知珍惜依靠
C 认得赐福，才知源头是谁
