Single user: Allows a single user to use the copyrighted work

Multiple user: Allows for more than one user to use the copyrighted
work, this can be a defined number of users or infinite.

LICENSING Insitutional: This means that institutions such as schools or


workplaces are allowed to use the use the work.
OPTIONS IN
MORE DETAIL Fixed term: Fixed term licensing allows you to use the software for a
certain period of time.

Indefinite: Here you can use the software for as long as the owners
want to, without a specific end date.

Network: This allows users to access the work or content within the
same network.
BREACHES OF COPYRIGHT

• Some famous examples of this include Apple vs Microsoft, or Dyson vs Hoover.


• Bill gates helped develop Machintosh, but later on released windows with very similar features, since they had a
contract, Apple thought of it as a copyright breach since he had "stolen" their ideas but in the end after a 6 year
long batter, Microsoft won at the judge etc etc..
• The other example was Dyson vs Hoover, basically, Hoover copied Dyson on their double turbine bagless vacum
cleaners. They went to court and Dyson won, but hoover still kept using it.
