What is an international curriculum?
International curriculum is not just a curriculum that used in international
school, though it should be a curriculum that promotes international learning
which should include cultures, languages, environmental studies, political
relations, religions, geography and history of the world.
• Over 10,000 schools in over 160 countries follow the Cambridge international curriculum
• The curriculum is international in philosophy and approach, but can be tailored to local contexts
• Cambridge students study for Cambridge international qualifications which are accepted and
recognised around the world
• Schools can also combine the Cambridge International curriculum with national curricula
• Cambridge students moving between Cambridge schools can continue their studies following the
same curriculum
The benefits of Cambridge intern-
ational curriculum
• Challenging and inspiring students worldwide
The Cambridge international curriculum sets a global standard for education, and
is recognised by universities and employers worldwide. Flexible, challenging and
inspiring, culturally sensitive yet international in approach. Cambridge students
develop an informed curiosity and a lasting passion for learning. They also gain
the essential skills they need for success at university and in their future careers.

• Knowledge, understanding and higher order thinking skills

Cambridge programmes combine an emphasis on mastering subjects in depth
with the development skills for study and work in the future. Value deep subject
knowledge as well as the conceptual understanding that helps students make lin
k-s between different aspects of a subject. Encourage students to develop higher
order thinking skills - problem solving, critical thinking, independent research,
collaboration and presenting arguments. These are transferable skills that will la
st a lifetime, preparing students for their future lives. They also make learning enj
oyable and rewarding.
The benefits of Cambridge intern-
ational curriculum
• Cambridge Global Perspectives
Cambridge Global Perspectives is a unique, transformational program
me that helps students at every stage of school education develop
outstanding transferable skills, including critical thinking, research and
collaboration

• Choice and flexibility for schools and students

Cambridge schools tailor the Cambridge international curriculum to
their culture and ethos, and their students’ needs. Many schools
around the world use Cambridge programmes and qualifications as the
English-medium strand of a bilingual education programme. Bilingual
teaching methods vary, but the flexibility of the Cambridge approach
means that learners can work towards a Cambridge qualification
through the medium of English while also following their own national
curriculum.
CEFR (Common European Framework of
Reference for Languages)
CEFR is The International standard for describing language ability. It’s used
by people everywhere. to see what level of English they have. It gives a
description of your language ability, in six levels, including Can Do statements.
The CEFR will tell her how we are doing at every step of our journey, so
anyone will know exactly what level of English has.
