4 Purposes
 Transform a “IF-THEN rule” into the specified form that is
presented by fuzzy sets and fuzzy relations.
 Example: If FP-1 is A, then FP-2 is B
If the shower water is cold, then the fire of the water-heater has to
be increased.
 If the shower water is mildly warm...
How do we adjust the fire for a suitable water temperature ?
