The Person

of the
Holy Spirit
Rev. Ken Kimiywe
Introduction
The Holy Spirit is probably the
least known member of the
Godhead. There is a sad lack of
knowledge about him even
within the Church. There are
several strong reasons why this
should not be so:
1.The Holy Spirit Is God
a) The Bible calls Him God.
b) He possesses the same
characteristics as God :
i. eternal nature (Heb 9:14)
ii. omnipresent (Ps 139:7-10)
iii. omniscient (1Cor 2:10-11)
iv. omnipotent (Luke 1:35)
1. The Holy Spirit Is God
c) He is associated with the
Father and Son on equal status.
d) The Bible has much to say
about the Holy Spirit.
e) He is essentially active in
God’s plan of redemption.
2.The Holy Spirit Is A Person
a) The personal pronoun is used for
Him.
b) He possesses the basic
characteristics of personality.
c) Expressions of His personality.
2.The Holy Spirit Is A Person
d) He is not impersonal.
Some symbols of the Holy
Spirit include;
• Wind; Rain; Oil; Fire; a Dove; etc
• Various ministries
3.This Is The Age Of The Holy
Spirit
Joel 2:28 prophesied of a time that was
to come, when God will pour His
Spirit on all believers regardless of
race, creed or gender...
this happened on the
Day of Pentecost.
CONCLUSION
Every believer needs to
know and experience the
blessing of the promised
Holy Spirit so as to worship
God deeply and serve more
effectively.
