a set time, and then try to let it go the rest of the day.

• Keep a daily journal. Write three pages a day or set a timer for an allotted amount
of time. Write down whatever comes into your mind. Keep the pen moving while
you are on the clock.

• Take a walk. Use this time to enjoy nature. Ideas, solutions, and calming inner
peace may come your way.

• Have compassion for other people. When you set aside time for others and what is
going on in their life, it gives you a break from thinking about yourself and about

the day. You can appreciate those positive moments. Write them down in your

informed. There are many resources available around you for instant use. When
you educate yourself, you will have more knowledge, which will help you feel
more in control.

appealing to you; do not get involved uninvited. It may not make sense to you, but
doer has more knowledge of its outcomes. Accept that you don’t have all the

situation; allow life to unfold as it may.

• Let go of expectations. You may have ideas and thoughts about how you thought
life for your child would unfold. When things take a major detour, to maintain
your inner peace, you need to accept what is.

• Don’t let your misery retard your motion. Let go of your story. Things may not be
going how you planned. Don’t add more to the situation by submerging yourself
in how miserable you feel. It does not make the pain go away. Your mind remains
imprisoned in the negativity.

•Know that there is hope. Every situation is temporary. Peaks and valleys fill our lives.
You may be in the valley right now, but the peak may be just ahead. Hang on to hope
for better future.
•Don’t take anything personally. Each person’s opinion is solely the product of their own
life and reality.
•Embrace each and every thing that happens as an opportunity. When something “bad”
happens ask, “What is universe trying to tell me?” Accept situations as signs or
opportunities, and remember that there is a purpose; a greater good to each. Look for
lesson rather than getting stuck in victim mode

• Don’t be a victim. It’s easy to think that the world is against you. Have you ever had
one of those days where everything goes wrong? It happens. There are things in our
control and out of our control. You can’t control the world around you, but you can
control how you react to things. Don’t fall into the downward spiral of the victim trap.

• Practice forgiveness. Forgiving is releasing the power that a certain event has on you.
By not forgiving you are keeping your mind in the past, thinking and wishing that
things could have been different. This traps you and makes you feel powerless and
unhappy.

• True freedom and the end of suffering is living in such a way as if you had
completely chosen whatever you feel or experience at the moment.
