Abstract
Being a tour guide now becomes a good job. Since
travelling abroad becomes a trend in society, many
travelers need a person who guides them in the country
that they visited. English is a common language
spoken in many countries. So, it is important for those
who want to be a tour guide to master the English
language.
Rationale
This course is designed for people aged about 18 - 23 years
old who are wishing to be a tour guide in Indonesia.
This basically deals with oral communication skill to be
able to explain the destinations in the countries to the
travelers.
it provides the basic communication of how to explain the
destinations, how to welcome the travelers, how to perform
information about places of interest, and how to ask and
answer to required questions.
It also seeks to give them the confidence on explaining
something in English effectively to achieve the goals

Need Analysis
Learners’ necessities
The learners’ need more knowledge about
English for supporting their skills. They
should develop their speaking skill in
order to make them to be able to guide the
tourists that come to Indonesia.
Learners’ lacks
The learners have difficulty to pronounce
English well like a native.
Their vocabulary is also limited
especially vovabulary about tourism.
They also have no confindence to speak
in English because of their limited
vocabulary.
