RAMADAN IS THE MONTH OF
T H E Q U R ’A N
• The connection between the heavens and the earth is the Qur’an, and
we should feel happy because Allah SWT will open more for us in
Ramadan when we are with the Qur’an.

The Qu’ran was revealed from the Preserved Tablet to the lowest heaven in the month of Ramadan. During this
month, it is best to read, listen, study, ponder and act on the Qur’an.

The people of the Qur’an are the close people to Allah

The month of Ramadan in which was revealed the Qur'an, a guidance for
mankind and clear proofs for the guidance and the criterion (between right
and wrong). So whoever of you sights (the crescent on the first night of) the
month (of Ramadan i.e. is present at his home), he must observe Saum
(fasts) that month, and whoever is ill or on a journey, the same number [of
days which one did not observe Saum (fasts) must be made up] from other
days. Allah intends for you ease, and He does not want to make things
difficult for you. (He wants that you) must complete the same number (of
days), and that you must magnify Allah [i.e. to say Takbir (Allahu Akbar;
Allah is the Most Great] for having guided you so that you may be grateful
to Him

• Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet
SAWS said, "He who observes fasting during the month of
Ramadan with Faith while seeking its reward from Allah, will
have his past sins forgiven.”

If we fast everyday with faith and hope for the reward from Allah then He
will forgive all of our sins.

• Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The
Messenger of Allah SAWS said, "He who observes optional prayer
(Tarawih prayers) throughout Ramadan, out of sincerity of Faith
and in the hope of earning reward will have his past sins
pardoned."

If we pray taraweeh with faith and hope for the reward from Allah swt then He will forgive
all of our sins.

SAWS said, "Whosoever performs Qiyam during Lailat-ul-Qadr
(Night of Decree), with Faith and being hopeful of Allah's reward, will
have his former sins forgiven.“

If we establish the night prayer in the Night of Decree and hope for the reward from Allah then He will
forgive all of our sins.

• Rank of the Truthful ones and Martys
A man came to the Prophet SAWS and said: O Messenger of Allah if I
bear witness that there is no one worthy of worship but Allah, and that
you are the Messenger of Allah, and I pray the five prayer, perform
zakat, fast Ramadan and establish the night prayer, so of whom am I?
The Messenger SAWS of the truthful ones and martyrs.”

• Duaa of the one who is fasting is not rejected
Abu Hurairah narrated that the Messenger of Allah SAWS said: “There
are three whose supplication is not rejected: The fasting person when he
breaks his fast…”

The supplication for the fasting person will be accepted. We should

rejoice because our dua will be answered.

INTERCESSION
• Fasting and the Qur’an intercede
• Fasting and the Qur’an intercede for the slave on the Day of
Judgement, the fast will say, Rabb, I deprived him from food and
temptations during the day, so allow me to intercede for him and the
Qur’an will say I deprived him from sleeping during the night, so
allow me to intercede for him, He says so they intercede.

• Two joys for the one fasting
• Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The
Messenger of Allah said, "Allah the Exalted and Majestic said: 'Every
act of the son of Adam is for him, except As-Siyam (the fasting) which
is (exclusively) for Me, and I will reward him for it.' The fasting
person has two joyous occasions, one at the time of breaking his fast,
and the other at the time of meeting his Rabb. Surely, the breath of one
observing Saum is better smelling to Allah than the fragrance of musk.
There are two joys for the fasting person: one at the time of breaking his fast and the other is
meeting his Lord. We can see fasting is connected to rejoicing.
