Pre lay diet

 19-23 week very important time for breeder growth


 During this 4 week the pullet increase 570g weight
 450g from 23-27 week
 The protein should be 10g per bird at that critical time period
 If you provide high protein to bird it will cause leg problem because after 2-3
hour of feeding it will increase the plasma uric acid level
Calcium metabolism

 First egg result the lose of 1.5-2.0g loss of ca from body


 Commercially there are 3 approaches use in pre breeder diet
 Firstly, 0.9-1.0 % ca up to 5% egg production
 Pullet can produce 2-3 egg if only 1% ca present in diet
 Secondly, 1.5% ca which help in good development of medullary bone without
having the resort of 4% ca
 However its inadequate
 Change diet when first egg is observed
