The Honeybee – The Farmer’s Friend
How bees help?
• The honeybees play a vital role in
pollination of crops and flowering plants.
• Pollination is important for the global
food system and security.
• One-third of the food we eat depends
upon pollination e.g.
apples,melons,cucumbers,almonds etc.
• Pollinators like bees and butterflies
support the production of 87 precent of
world’s leading food crops.
• If bees get extinct, plants and humans have
to suffer. As humans depent upon plants
and plants depend upon pollinators.
• A single bee colony can pollinate 300
million flowrs in one day.
• A balance must be maintained in order to
sustain life on earth and protect human
survival and health.
Two Content Layout with SmartArt
• Bees are the only insect that
produces the food consumed
by humans.
• Bees are under great threat
from the combined effects of
climate change,intensive
agriculture, pesticide
use,biodiversity loss and
pollution.
Conclusion
• Contries need to shift to more
pollinator-friendly and
sustainable food policies and
system.
• The absence of bees and other
pollinators would wipe out
coffee,tomato and many crops.
• PRESERVE BIODIVERSITY,
SAVE YOURSELF.
