Senegal is a poor country so
that we can’t benefit from
advanced technologies but
some areas are much better
provided (in electrical
energy) than villages. +
The weight of history
 Our history is still impacting
on our lives. For example
countries that benefited very
early from the industrial
revolution are the most
*developped in the world.
WAYS TO SETTLE THAT DEFICIT
 Diversify energy sources; more water, wind and solar
power: Senegal has great potential for generating electricity
from renewable energies.
 Make rural electrification program a priority

 Political will is the way by which our engineers,

technicians… can contribute to the settlement of the
electrical deficit in Senegal
 Sensitize ones who aspire to work in electricity domain
