HALF THE WORLD

• The country is named after the curiosity of

being crossed from east to west by the
equatorial line. To celebrate this
uniqueness, one of the 10 most visited
tourist places in Ecuador was built. On the
site there is a monument and other
constructions
• Nearby there are several attractions such
as the Cultural Plaza with amphitheater-
type benches where concerts are held on
weekends. But if you are looking for
romantic places in Quito, the city has a
chapel where marriages are held. There
are gastronomic offers such as the Plaza
del Cacao. There you can learn about the
production, preparation and consumption
of the fruit.
• The monument is only 37 minutes from
Quito. You can get there by taking the
buses of the "Middle of the World" line
that pass through Avenida Mariscal Sucre,
better known as Avenida Occidental.
These buses pass every 30 minutes
approximately and will leave you on the
outskirts of the Middle of the World City
