Indeed mother's love for her child is the purest and most
selfless love one can ever find in this universe. A
mother understands what a child does not even say. She
is probably the best face and mind reader as just by
looking at us she can tell what we are going through.
She has mastered the art of perceiving our state of mind
and problems just by hearing our voice. So, we can say
that no one knows a child better than his/her mother.
She is the best confidant a child can ever ask for, a
superhuman who works 24 hours a day and 365 days a
year so that we can have a comfortable life. She has
done so much for us still she never asked for anything.

So in order to give her the love and respect she deserves

and celebrate mothers and motherhood, we celebrate
mother's day every year on the second Sunday of May.
How it all started…….
● In the early 1900’s , the mother’s day
originated.
● A woman named Anna Jarvis started a
campaign for an official holiday honoring
mothers in 1905, the year her own mother
died.
● The first larger-scale celebration of the
holiday was in 1908, when Jarvis held a
public memorial for her mother in her
hometown of Grafton, West Virginia.
● Over the next few years, Jarvis pushed to
have the holiday officially recognized,
and it was celebrated increasingly in
more and more states around the U.S.
● Finally, in 1914, President Woodrow
Wilson signed a proclamation making
Mother’s Day an official holiday, to take
place the second Sunday of May.
 Mother’s day is observed to
acknowledge her sacrifices and
hard work and make her feel
special. We can do many things to
show our love for her, like:
● Give her a bouquet of her
favourite flowers
● Cook her favourite dish
● Dedicate a song for her
● Write a heartfelt thank you
card
● Make a collage of all the
lovely moments we spent
together

Dear Mom,

No matter how much I thank you it won’t suffice for what you have done for me, still, I want to
take this time to let you know how grateful I am.

Thank you mom for bringing me into his world and loving me so much. Thank you for becoming
my shield whenever there was a storm. Thank you for your comforting words and for all those
tasty treats.Thank you for the countless nights you stayed awake to ensure that I had a good
sleep.Thank you for worrying for me every time and for showing me the right path to walk on.
Thank you for being my first friend, my best friend and my forever friend.

I just want you to know that my love for you is eternal and I will try my best to give you
hundredfold of the love that you have given me till today.
