Understanding the context of CBT
• PROJECT. What is the community-based project being implemented or
planned, for which the skills will be developed through CBT?

• PARTNER. Which organization (government of non-government) is


implementing or supporting the project? The trainer or training providers is
not necessarily the project implementor, or directly responsible for post-
training support The trainer’s task includes building partnerships, with clear
partnership agreements.
• COMMUNITY: In what kind of community is the project and the training
being implemented? Urban or rural? Upland, lowland, or coastal? In the
poblacion or in remote barangays?
Group Work : (Assigned Sector)
• Specify further the characteristic of their participants – age, gender,
work, education, etc.
• Choose what specific technical skills you plan to implement.
• Subject the chosen skills training to the likely context of the
course/training:
1. The likely program/project for which the CBT is being implemented
2. Determine the likely partners for implementing and supporting
3. Determine the likely community context for implementing the CBT

•Determine tasks in preparing, designing and implementing the CBT
