The Writing

Process

Comparison
- a consideration or estimate of the similarities
or dissimilarities between two things or people.
Contrast
-the state of being strikingly different from
something else in juxtaposition or close association.
prewriting
refers to the all the ways you begin your writing
project. It includes coming up with ideas,
organizing those ideas, and planning your
paper. Prewriting can help you think, save you
time and produce better writing
Writing/ drafting
Drafting refers to actually writing the words of the
paper. As part of the writing process, you will write
multiple drafts of your paper. Each
rough draft improves upon the previous one. The
final draft is simply the last draft that you submit.
Revising
- Re-examine and make alterations to
(written or printed matter).
- Reconsider and amend (something),
especially in the light of further evidence
or to reflect a changed situation.
Proofreading
Proofreading is the final stage of checking a text
before it is published or shared. It focuses on
correcting minor errors and inconsistencies (for
example, in punctuation and
capitalization). Proofreaders often also check for
formatting issues, especially in print publishing.
