Interpreting Graphs

- A graph can be defined as a pictorial


representation or a diagram that represents data or
values in an organized manner. The points on
the graph often represent the relationship between
two or more things.
Vertical and Horizontal Bar
Graph
- Both Vertical and Horizontal bar graphs
show the amount or number of something.
It also shows increase and/or decrease of
data in a period of time.
Pie graph
-A pie graph shows how a whole is
distributed.
Line graph
-A line graph, likewise, does the same
thing, except that it uses lines to show
the increase and/or decrease of data.
Using Simple And
Compound Sentence
Simple Sentence

- A simple Sentence consists of a single


independent clause.
Ex:
1. Alexa gave pairs of shoes
to people in need.

2. We can use our past to


make a better future.
Compound Sentence

- Consists of two independent clauses


joined together a comma and a
coordinating conjunction.
Ex:
1. Carlos had a difficult childhood, but he
persevered.

2. The story of Aileen is an inspiring one,


and it should encourage us all.
Analyzing Song

Persona
-The persona refers to the speaker
in the song.
Purpose
- This refers to the reason why a
song was written.
Theme
- This refers to the overall message
of the song.
Mood and Musicality
- The music of a song contributes to its
meaning.
Images and Symbols
- Sometimes, song lyrics use symbols and
images to talk about something
