Revised Criteria For The Diagnosis
Of Rheumatoid Arthritis.
To make the diagnosis of RA, four of the
following criteria must be present. Criteria 1-4
must have been present for at least six weeks,
1. Morning stiffness
2. Arthritis of three or more joint areas
3. Arthritis of hand joints
4. Symmetric arthritis
5. Rheumatoid nodules
6. Serum rheumatoid factor
7. Radiographic changes
BLOOD TESTS
● Rheumatoid factor
● Anti- citrullinated peptide (Anti - CCP) antibody
 TREATMENT
LONG- TERM
● DISEASE-MODIFYING ANTI-RHEUMATIC MEDICATIONS (DMARDS) = Suppress
INFLAMMATION
1. Methotrexate
2. Hydroxychloroquine
3. Sulfasalazıne

● BIOLOGIC RESPONSE MODIFIERS (BIOLOGICS)

1. Abatacept : Suppress T-CELL
2. Rituximab : Suppress B-CELLS
3. Adalimumab, etanercept, infliximob : Block chemokines, like TUMOR NECROSIS
FACTOR
4. Anakinra : Block INTERLEUKIN 1
5. Tociligumab : Block INTERLEUKIN 6

ACUTE FLARES
6. Anti-inflammatories
● NSAIDS : Meloksicam
● GLUCOCORTICOIDS (Short-term)
