A presentation conveys
information from a speaker
to an audience.
A presentation is a mean of
communication which can
be adapted to various
speaking situations such as
talking to a group
addressing a meeting or
breifing a team.

DESIGN OF PRESENTATION

Design of presentation
includes the following :
 Colour
 Material
 Font size
 Font style
 Animations
 Effects
COLOUR

 In our presentation we should use colour in contrast


and usually we go for dark slash light combination.
 Grey , Black ,White, and Blue are the most used
combination .
 Avoid the Red ,Purple ,Green and dull colours .
MATERIAL

The presentation which you add in


presentation skills :
 It should be current and mot
updated one.
 At the same time it must not be
controversial one.
FONT SIZE

 For the text we can use the size 12.


 For the sub-headings we can the size
18.
 For the headings it can be 22.(It is not
standard rule ).
FONT STYLE

 Don’t make experiment with font style .


 Be consistent with your own style
throughout presentation.
 The most common used are Arial ,Time
New Roman and Calibri.
 Don’t use fancy and flower font style.
 It will give your presentation immature
look by causing low read ability.
ANIMATIONS

 Animations can increase the interest of audience . If you add per line.
MATERIAL

Material should be in the


form of bullets
5 to 8 number of bullets
added per slide .
 5 to 8 number of words
added per bullets.
HOW TO DELIVER A PRESENTATION?
EFFECTIVE PRESENTATION

For effective presentation follow


these Tips:
 Make a strong start.
 Use body language that shows
CONFIDENCE!
 Have good posture
 Smile and act relaxed. It will make you
look and feel more confident.
 Make eye contact with your audience
instead of reading off your notes the
entire time.
 Avoid distracting behaviours, like
chewing gum or fidgeting.
EFFECTIVE PRESENTATION
 Watch for nervous gestures, such as rocking, or
tapping.
 Make sure to dress appropriately for your profession
 Try to speak clearly so that your audience can easily
understand your words.
 Take time to think during your presentation!
 Keep it Simple: Concentrate on your Core Message.
FLAWS IN PRESENTATION

• Following are the flaws in


presentation:
 Lack of experience.
 Lack of practice.
 Lack of confidence.
 Lack of Enthusiasm.
 Lack of related material .
 Lack of focus.
 Hesitation .
