TYPE RATINGS COURSE-AEROPLANES
When developing the training programme for a type rating course, in addition to complying with
the standard include in the operational suitable data (OSD), the ATO should also follow any
recommendations
The type rating course should provide for a continual process of ground, FSTD and flight
training to enable the student to assimilate the knowledge and skill required to operate a
specific aircraft type safely and efficiently.
The type rating course should normally be conducted as a single, fulltime course of study and
training.
