DEFINITION OF VACCINE:
A vaccine is a
substance that is introduce into the baby to
prevent Infection or certain pathogen.
Can be used in
bacterial, viral and parasitic infection.
“It is a set of short/drops given to an
infant and children in different age to
help keep then from developing
dangerous childhood disease”
vaccination not only protect
protect the child from disease but
they also keep other children save by
elimination or greatly decreasing
dangerous disease that used to spread
from child to child.
WHAT IS AIMS OF
VACCINATON?
 To reduce the mobility and mortality from
depthera, pertusis, tetanus, poliomyelitis, T.B
and Measles.
 To make availability of immunization
against the above mentioned disease .
CONTRA-INDICATION OF
VACCINE:
 Sever allergy reaction
 Fits
 Shock
 Serious sick child
 HIV infection
EFFECT OF VACCINE ON
CHILD:
 Fever (mild , moderate and sever for 3
days)
 Readness and Swelling at injection site
 Rashes
 Discomfort
 Nausea and Vomiting
HEALTH EDUCATION ABOUT
POST VACCINATION:
 Check shere temperature every 4 hours
 Take most cloth off or dress lighting
 Don’t warp your child in a blanket
 Keep the room temrature cool
 Given medication if temprature moderate or
high
 Wait in clinic or vaccination center for 15 to 20
minutes after your child vaccination because as
with any medicine there is a very slight chance of
serious allergic reaction.
