IOT Under The Guidance Of : Submitted By : Abdul Nabi, Director, Shield Technologies Ch Venkatesh Dr.Aruna Kumari B N, Associate professor, 1BY17CS040 Dept. of CSE, BMSIT & M ABSTRACT • Internship training is an important phase of a student life. A well planned, properly executed and evaluated internship training helps a lot in developing a professional attitude. It develop an awareness of working approach to problem solving, based on a broad understanding of process and mode of operation of organization. The aim and motivation of this training is to receive discipline, skills, teamwork and technical knowledge through a proper training environment, which will help me, as a student in the field of Computer Science and Engineering This report is a short description of one month internship carried out within a company “Shield Technologies” from 1st June -2021 to 1st July-2021. Since we are interested in Embedded Systems and IoT, the work was concentrated on learning and developing new skills and gaining deeper understanding of concepts through hands-on applications. This internship program includes architecture, electronic design and embedded c programming. About Organization ◼ Shield Technologies is Head quartered in “silicon valley” of India, Bengaluru started in the year 2017. Company is highly specialized in the design and development of electronic components, website, software application development, Software training on Java, web design and development, Mobile application development, E-Commerce solution and more. Company has a team of expert’s professional works on the latest software tools and technologies to give the best and promising services to the customers. Company is equipped with the state-of-art work station in the software application development. ◼ Shield Technologies is a dynamic start-up company. The foundation to Shield Technologies is built on the key focus area of domain expertise in industry verticals, customer focus by quickly aligning to client needs and company’s unique delivery model is well executed through collaborative network of partners. Tasks Assigned • Writing basic code in Embedded C. • Understanding IoT. • Understanding different hardware components. • Integrating hardware with software. • Understanding how Blynk app works. Challenges and How I overcome them • Understanding Embedded C: At first, It became very difficult for me to understand and write code in embedded C. Eventually, with the guidance provided by my director, I gradually understood and familiarized myself with embedded C. • Working with hardware components: Being from CS background, It’s been a very hard time for me to work with microcontrollers, sensors etc., at first. Later, I eventually became comfortable working with them. Supervisor • Abdul nabi is the director and one of the partners of the shield technologies. He is an expert in designing and building industry level IoT projects. He also teaches cloud computing and IoT through an Internship program. TECHNOLOGY USED
weather parameters like temperature, humidity, air quality, rain etc., using various sensors and NODMCU. All the data is stored in the cloud and monitored in blynk mobile app.

Learning Outcomes ◼ Understood how IOT works ◼ Learnt how to integrate different sensors with micro controller ◼ Learnt how to write code in embedded C to communicate with micro controller ◼ Learnt how to use Blynk app ◼ Familiarized with Arduino IDE ◼ Understood how different sensors work CONCLUSION
◼IOT weather reporting system has an application to farmers as well. The
weather forecasting plays a very important role in the field of agriculture.
◼IOT weather monitoring project proves really helpful for monitoring
weather at places like a volcano, rain forests. It is quite difficult for a human being to stay for a longer time at such places. Or even areas that are exposed to radioactive leakage.
