    Using Vertically + Crosswise method


    Vertically + Crosswise is used in Multiplication
    Since Division is reverse of Multiplication, we can use it in Division

    1904 ÷56
    5 6 xy y = 4 since
    x 3 4 x 56 4 x 6 = 24
    15 || (5x4 + 6x3) || 24 1904
    15 || 38 || 24
    To Find x,
    1904
    500x + 60 x + 200 + 20 = 1900
    560 x = 1900 – 220
    560 x = 1680
    x = 1680 ÷ 560
    x =3
