USE OF 吗 (ma)

吗 is a question particle , it’s used end of the sentence which one
can give either an affirmative or negative answer .

Structure : Explanation (sentence) + 吗

Things to keep in mind you can’t use 吗 in the sentence if that’s

already a question .
example : 他是谁吗？
Tā shì shéi ma ？ （ wrong )

他是不是老师 ？
Tā shì bùshì lǎoshī ？ ( wrong )
Usage example with 吗
1. 我也能来吗？
Wǒ yě néng lái ma ？
can I come too?
2. 你身体好吗？
Nǐ shēntǐ hǎo ma ？
Are you keeping well?
3. 你去银行吗？
Nǐ qù yínháng ma?
Are you going to the bank?
4. 你会游泳吗？
Nǐ huì yóuyǒng ma ？
do you know how to swim?
