La Educación Secundaria constituye el tercer nivel de la Educación Básica
4 Regular y dura cinco grados. Ofrece una educación orientada al desarrollo de
competencias de los estudiantes mediante una formación humanista, científica y
tecnológica, cuyos conocimientos se encuentran en permanente cambio.
Profundiza los aprendizajes logrados en el nivel de Educación Primaria. Este
nivel forma para la vida, el trabajo, la convivencia democrática, el ejercicio de la
ciudadanía y para acceder a niveles superiores de estudios. Tiene en cuenta las
características, necesidades y derechos de los adolescentes y trabaja en
permanente coordinación con las familias.
