To conclude, By using Sentiment Analysis, we would be able to determine sentiment polarity for reviewer
comments, and using SVD (Singular Value Decomposition ) for Collaborative Filtering we would be able to
predict polarity values for all reviewer-listing pairs based on latent user preferences, finally
generating recommendations as a ranking of predicted polarities for any given user.
The interactive dashboard would serve to maximise consumer value creation by simplifying, calibrating and
consolidating Airbnb’s historical data to provide fascinating insights on the travel and booking habits of past
users, and the characteristics of all listed properties. To facilitate our users in identifying the best
accommodation choice, the dashboard also provides an in-depth analysis on the best time to travel based on
optimal price points, accommodation availability and the host’s textual description of his listing.
Alternatively, to alleviate our users from all the vexatious difficulties in finding the perfect place to stay in, we will be
integrating a recommender service for our users to pick their preferred listing with ease.
All in all, our application would provide a well-rounded service to different users who have different and varied
preferences in travel planning.
