What is Alzheimer's Disease?

Alzheimer's Disease is a disease is a progressive disease that destroys memory


and other important mental functions. In Alzheimer’s Disease, brain cell
connections and cells degenerate and die, eventually destroying memory or other
important functions.
Symptoms of Alzheimer’s Disease

Some symptoms of Alzheimer’s disease is memory loss, confusion, inability to


create new memories, irritability, meaningless repetition of words, paranoia, and
jumbled speech.
How Alzheimer’s Disease affects the Cell

Parts of the cell that the disease affects is the endoplasmic reticulum via ER
stress, mitochondria, and lysosomes.
Treatment

Currently there is no way to cure Alzheimer’s Disease. Even though there is no cure
medications and management strategies can temporarily help symptoms.
