Weathering decomposes bedrock. Flowing water, wind, gravity, and glaciers
then erode the decomposed rock, transport it downslope, and finally deposit it on the sea coast or in lakes and river valleys. Finally, the loose sediment is cemented to form hard sedimentary rock.
