cavity, pharynx, and
larynx.
• Lower respiratory tract
includes: trachea,
bronchi, bronchioles,
alveoli, and alveolar-
capillary membrane
• Air enters the upper
resp. tract & travels to
the lower tract where
gas exchange takes
place
