To refer to the singular noun, near us we use

this

To refer to the noun in plural, near us we use

these
To refer to the noun in singular ,far from us, we use

that

To refer to the noun in plural , far from us, we use

those
We use this (singular) and these (plural) as pronouns:
- to talk about people or things near us

If the noun is in the singular we use This

For example:
This is a nice cup of tea.

When the noun is in the plural we use these

For example:

These boots are mine.


Why do we use that and those?
We use that (singular) and those (plural):

For example:
