“Asteroids”
Asteroids originated and have stayed nearby orbiting by
the millions , at the inner/outer Solar System border ,
between Mars and Jupiter.
“Asteroids”
Asteroids can be made of rock , ice ,ore , and other
materials, and can wander out of the asteroids belt ,
creating huge craters if they collide with a large body such
as the Moon.
“Asteroids”
There are hundreds of thousands of asteroids in the
asteroid belt , but almost half of the entire mas is made up
just four objects.
“Asteroids”
The asteroids belt is between the planets Mars and Jupiter .
The asteroid belt is huge and the space between each
asterois is of over 600,000 miles.

Asteroid 951 Gaspra

“Asteroids”
Asteroids are also called minor objects and their sizes vary.
For example , asteroid Palas has a diameter of 522 km and
asteroid Davida has a diameter of 336 km . Most scientist
now belive an asteroid impact on Earth was the cause of
the extintion of nonavian dinosaurs 65 millions years ago.
“Asteroids”
Asteroid Palas has a diameter of 522 km.
“Asteroids”
Asteroid Davida has a diameter of 336 km.
Meteoroids
Some meteoroids were formed by asteroids. When moving
around or passing by planets, these can attract them .
Talking about the Earth, when meteoroids come to our
planet they are healted in the atmosphere and some parts
of meteoroids are turned into vapor.
Meteoroids
Some of them produce light and are called meteors. When
a meteor is not totally burnt , some residues get to the
surface of of Earth colliding into it , and so they are called
meteors.
Meteoroids
Hoba is the biggest meteor known on the Earth. Namibia,
Africa.
“Comet”
Comets are heavenly bodies made up of ice, dust and rocks
that are in outer space and that orbit the Sun following
different elliptical paths.
The comet Halley is the perfect example for these, this
comet is big and bright orbiting the Sun every 75 years on
average, although its orbital period can range from 74 to
79 years.
“Comet”
This is the comet Halley.
