 MEANING OF BEGGING
“Begging means to request
something in a supplicating
manner, with the implication
that the person who is
begging will suffer emotional
or physical harm if the request
is not granted”
 BRIEF DESCRIPTION
In many town and cities through out the
country, it is common to see beggars
asking for currency, food or other items.
Beggars often beg for spare change
equipped with cups, boxes, hats or other
items into which currency can be placed
and sometimes display signs with
messages such as
“ Please help me I am poor I will pray for
you”
 Another thing a beggar may do is
to create some sort of fake
story to make you feel bad for
them and strike you into giving
them money. Although they may be
telling the truth, this is a largely
used approach to manipulate a
person into handing out money.

PROBLEMS DUE OF BEGGING
1. Affects the rights of deserving poor
people.
2. Lack of working force/ Labor
3. Misuse of funds collected through
begging for narcotics.
4. Increase of crime ( Kidnapping)
5. Business of Narcotics through
Begging
 SUGGESTION
 Our responsibility is to find real
deserving people for help in our
relatives or nearby house because
charity begins at home.
 NGOs should go ahead to teach that
beggars and make arrangements for
their education, shelter, clothing and
food.
 Government should make
arrangements for development
of Agriculture and Industrial
sectors so that more jobs should
be created for needy people.
 Government should provide subsidy
and financial aids for poor and low
income people and allocate
maximum funds for elimination of
poverty.

 Government should re-organize

Zakat Committees and Social
Welfare department for the
betterment of poverty .
 Government should make
strict law to catch gangs and
professional beggars and put
under strict punishment.

 Government should bane

begging and make special
homes for poorest.

 MISSION OF EDHI
Edhi foundation is a non profit
social welfare organization
which has been working to
help Pakistani needy for the
past five decades, has started
his begging mission on June
19th
He will travel across Pakistan to raise
funds and donations to feed some one
million hungry peoples all over the
country.

Edhi Says he began his mission knowing

that there are so many peoples in
Pakistan who can not even afford meal.
