Goals are called aims,

end, or purposes. They
provide meaning to one’s
life. They direct where
one is going

Goals are important to everyone
because they serve as tools that
direct our behavior. Goals tell us
what we would like to attain in the
future and how we can attain them.

They can be tangible, such as
the goal to own a house and lot,
or they can be intangible, such
as the goal of coming to class on
time.
Types of Goals
Short-term goals can be
accomplished within a short period
of time while long-term goals
require a longer time, sometimes, a
lifetime since they can be more or
less permanent.
