CLIMATE CHANGE, A GREAT THREAT TO OUR FUTURE

Today it is widely accepted that

human activities are contributing
to global warming and
consequent climate change.

This is mainly due to the increase in our

greenhouse gas emissions into the atmosphere.
These gases act by retaining the heat that the sun
receives and accumulating it, which alters the
climatic dynamics of our Planet and, ultimately, the
environment we inhabit and on which we depend.

In addition, it will affect indirectly through

the proliferation of diseases typical of other
latitudes transmitted by vector species or
even by water

Climate change will be directly responsible for

some 60,000 deaths in 2030 and about
260,000 in 2100, not counting the numerous
hospitalizations due to the increasingly
frequent waves of cold and heat and extreme
weather events.
