Introduction
According to researcher Leandro Rezende, from FMUSP
University, the unhealthy lifestyle is the cause of more than one
hundred thousand cases and 60 thousand deaths from cancer
each year in Brazil.
Following a healthy way of life is a personal choice and often
difficult, as it is the small attitudes and habits that define
whether we will lead a healthy life.

Healthy Diet
According to the study conducted by the Harvard TH Chan School of
Public Health, 40% of the American population is obese, and it is estimated
that number will rise to more than 50% in 2030.
This situation is related to the sedentary way of life and poor diet,
adopted by a large part of the population.
To adopt a healthy lifestyle, it is advisable to obey some
recommendations in relation to food, such as seeking the nutritional
variety in each meal.

Balance is the key to good nutrition. Excessive consumption of Junk food can generate several problems

 Try to include vegetables and fruits in your meals, as
they are sources of essential nutrients for the proper
functioning of the body. In addition, try to consume the
vegetables and fruits of your region and of the current
season, in order to avoid products with preservatives.

 Replace white pasta with foods made with whole
grains, such as teff, buckwheat and rye. White pasta is
one of the main factors for the development of
diabetes and cancers, while whole grains are great for
the proper functioning of the heart and for obtaining
energy.

 We can find proteins in fish, birds and nuts. They can
replace red meats and processed meats such as sausages.
It can also be found in foods made from soy, and in milk and
dairy products, but it is good to limit your consumption.

 Avoid hydrogenated oils that contain
harmful trans fats, by consuming healthy
vegetable oils such as peanut and canola oil.

 Drink lots of water, and avoid drinks with
excess sugars.
