Reproductive Health
OBJECTIVE
• R.A 10354 objective is to accommodate the needs and resolve the issues and
sentiments of those Filipino citizens, regardless of their environment, marital
status, gender orientation, infertility, capacity, disability and the like.
• The government objectives the quality of medical consultations which
includes facilities and specialists.
• The law also states the consultations of the LGU’s and the DOH to those who
wish to know more about family planning and /or in the event of miscarriage
and any other problems that may come.
Important sections
Section 6.01 Hiring of skilled health
professional for maternal health care and
skilled birth attendance
• This section states that the LGU’s would have to hire an adequate number of
health professional concerning maternal care and childbirth in order to
achieve the ideal professional to patient ratio. Taking into consideration the
target of the DOH not only the patient in highly populated areas but also to
those in geographically isolated areas are to be given the same quality of
access and service to healthcare and that Philippines Government shall
provide financial support and other necessary assistance for the effective
implementation of this provision.
