Risk Assessment

• I will make sure the equipment in the studio is tidy to avoid accidents. I will
make sure the makeup I use is in date and has suitable ingredients to avoid
any allergic reaction on my model. I will make sure I will take breaks during
editing to avoid headaches.
Technical Skills

• Firstly, I started the makeup by creating a bruise on my model's cheek

layering up the eyeshadow colours, colour by colour. I made sure to place
each colour in an unorganised way to look similar to a real bruise. I then
drew lines on my models nose cheek and lip with red lipstick adding
eyeshadow and fake blood to replicate cuts. I set up the studio with two
studio lights one placed behind my subject and one in front and a black
backdrop. I used strobe lighting. I took the photos using these settings:
1/25 shutter speed, ISO 100, f.10 aperture. Then I edited the photos in
adobe photoshop, and I increased the saturation, contrast and highlights I
also cropped the images.
Evaluation

• I think the outcomes I have made are successful and look good. I think the
outcomes worked well because the dark environment matches the eerie
genre. The dark background compliments the makeup nicely. If I was to
improve next time, I would use more makeup to make my images more
complicated e.g., prosthetics I would also make sure to check the angles of
the makeup to make sure it is not crooked making sure it looks realistic. .
