There are 24 hours in a day. At the

equator during the daytime, there are 12
hours of sunlight. Then during the
nighttime, the sunlight shines in other
places to for 12 hours.
Each time of day is different because of the
location of the sun, and the presence of the moon
and the stars in the sky.

A day can be divided into four different times:

morning, afternoon, evening and night.
Times of day are also realted to light and dark
and heat or cold.
