input of the inverse generator branch is the actual EM response, Cr, appended with a fully random vector. Ig is the generated pattern from the inverse generator branch as well as the input to the forward prediction branch.

Cg is the EM response predicted by the forward prediction branch, which is trained to minimize the mean-squared error between Cg and Cr.
