from a known cause.

Emotional labor

Emotional labor or emotion work is a requirement of a


job that employee display required emotions towards
customers or others.Example profession that requires
emotional labors are: nurse doctor ,waiting staff and
television actors.
Although emotional labor may be helpful to the
organization bottom line there has been recent work
suggesting that managing emotions for pay may be
detrimental to the employee.
Emotional dissonance 

Emotional dissonance : is likely to occur  in situations in


which there are strong expectations regarding the
emotions one is expected to display by virtue of one’s job
requirements 

 Felt emotions: emotions people actually  experience


 Displayed emotions: emotions people show other
Emotional intelligence

 Emotional intelligence is the ability to detect


and manage emotional clues and information

 Emotions and moods are the important topic of


psychological research both are affective .
 positive and negative feeling (emotions and moods) are a
fundamental component of happiness .
 The more complex a task the less emotional a works can be
before interfering with performance.
 Managerial behavior and work environment can be
leveraged as a tools to change moods and triggers emotions.
 Mood states often bias judgment in a mood consistent
manner.
