Objectives
To describe how for-profit pharmacies create and deliver value, both for the
patients and the business, by drawing entrepreneurial and managerial
characteristics, products and services delivered and financial transactions

Materials and Methods


Population: pharmacies opened to the public since at least January 1, 2012
Type and Data: cross-sectional study was carried out, collecting 2013 data of effective
activities on a twenty questions form and a table for staff reporting
Statistical analysis: Forty-three pharmacies included in the analysis were grouped into two
(1-7 and 11-31 years) and compared using appropriate tests at significance level of 0,05
