Generally, there are 4 stages for strategic HRM

These 4 stages can be explained by the Strategic Human Resource Management Model
This strategic HRM model explains each stage involved in strategic process and finally gives best results for
successful achievement of organizational goals.

Stage 1: Strategic analysis & planning

• In the first stage, HRM will analyse the current state of an organization that is analysis of internal and external
environments which gives us better idea about an organization and according to that HRM can plan their strategies.
• For analysis of internal and external environments of an organization SWOT analysis is the best one.
Stage 2: Strategic formulation

 Identification of what type of skills required for particular tasks


 Recruitment of employees based on skills required for a company
 At what type of skills HRM should train and develop the human resources to achieve organization goals.
 How to improve the performance of employees through employee engagement activities
 On which basis, recognitions and compensations should be given to employees
 New polices and regulations should be added to the existed policy
