1st Term Practical Exam

The administration floor plan is given. As a network engineer of your company, your task is to
design the administration building based on the requirements below:
1) Place the data nodes into the appropriate location. (10 data nodes and each has 2 ports).
2) Place the Wireless access point and switch into the appropriate location. (3 wireless access
point and 1 switch).
3) Use only 2 boxes of UTP cable (each box is consisted of 100 meters).
4) Estimate the distance between the data nodes/wireless to switch. Don’t exceed the
available UTP cable length.
5) Fill up the Port Map and Single line diagram based on your design and estimation.

*The placement of nodes/access point/switch is based on the network engineer design

perspective.
