GOA WELCOME
Goa is located in India’s coastal belt TO

on the western called the Konkan
coast. It has an alarming scenic
beauty. The architectural work done

make Goa to be occupied by tourists.
It is the most preferred option for

TOURISM AS AN INDUSTRY
TOURISM refers to all activity
related to the short-term
movement of people to

usually reside. It is one of the
world’s largest industries It is
also a wide-ranging industry,
which includes the hotel
industry, the transport industry
and a number of additional
industries or sectors.
TOURISM AND GDP
• The World Travel and Tourism
Council calculated that tourism
generated ₹16.91 lakh crore or 9.2%
of India’s GDP in 2018 and supported
42.673 million jobs, 8.1% of its total
employment.
• The sector is predicted to grow at an
annual rate of 6.9% to ₹32.05 lakh
crore by 2028.

GOA TOURISM
The state of Goa, in India, is famous for its beaches and
places of worship. Tourism is its primary industry, and is
generally focused on the coastal areas of Goa, with
decreased tourist activity inland.Foreign tourists, mostly
from Europe, arrive in Goa in winter, whilst the summer
and monsoon seasons see many Indian tourists

Tourism offers a wide range of
benefits, including economic
benefits for countries attracting a
large number of visitors, due to
the money they spend not only on
their actual stay, but also in local
businesses. It also provides a large
number of jobs for people
working in the transport and
hospitality industry, among
others.
