mathematics is a useful
way to measure risks?”

YES
• If you are going to buy something from the
internet (Amazon, Aliexpress, Trendyol…), you
first look at the rating of a product that is good
for you.
• If you like an item from two different sellers, you
look at the price of the two, how many stars it's
rated for, top-rated product reviews, and how
long it takes to get it to decide which one to buy.
• So you do a statistical analysis and this simple
math will help you get the best product
NO
• There are 100 people and 1 of them is a thief
• So you catch 1 of them and call them a thief (1% chance)
• Cops conclusively prove that 98 out of 100 are not thieves
• In this case, there are 2 people left and now we can be sure, there is a 99% probability that the
other person is the thief.
• Mathematics-statistics says this, but it doesn't give you the right to blame the other person even if
you have a strong probability. There may also be factors such as emotions, appearance, etc.
